Our chief appraiser (R. Lee Walker) has been appraising all types of real estate properties for over 25 years over the entire state of California with special emphasis in Southern California.
Mr. Walker is a California State Licensed Appraiser (Certified-General) which grants him the state approval to appraise all types and sizes of real estate. Commercial, residential, apartments and special-use properties. Mr. Walker also has the highly recognized professional designation of MAI with the highest rated appraisal organization in the United States - the Appraisal Institute headquartered in Chicago, Illinois.
Mr. Walker graduated from the Ohio State University with a major in accounting, finance and real estate. He then completed additional course work at the Ohio State University Law School that included: real estate law, contracts, leases and real estate property interests. Thereafter, as an Air Force officer, he served three years in Japan as the military postmaster of three large military post offices which included being a top-secret courier officer for special U.S. Government Embassy Flights throughout the Far East and Asia.
He then entered the corporate world and along the way added course studies in real estate finance at UCLA and chemical engineering at USC. His last position in the corporate world before entering the real estate profession was. vice president of Personnel and Labor Relations for a chemical company with 26 U.S. plants.
Mr. Walker has specialized in real estate appraising over the last 25+ years and has taken many appraisal and real estate classes and courses on his way to becoming professionally designated as an MAI appraiser; and over the years has acquired a broad range of appraisal experience. He is also a real estate broker and handles a variety of real estate transactions each year for some of his larger clients.
